Understanding young people’s financial lives
What do financial life and financial literacy look like for young Australians?
We surveyed 1,000 Australians aged 14 to 25 to better understand how they earn, save, spend, manage money, and develop financial literacy.
This two part report first explores young people’s financial lives, attitudes, confidence, and experiences with money, then introduces the Youth Financial Literacy Index to examine the knowledge, behaviours, skills, and financial experiences that distinguish different levels of financial literacy.
